US Pilot

Welcome to a Photo Tour of my Life in Flight.

(Highly graphic web pages - please be patient while pictures load.  Also recommended to follow all pages to the end and "Follow the Thread" to see all pages, prior to going to "links" to other locations.)

My love of flying probably started with my first flight in a B-29, four months before I was born.

The Air Force used to let aircrew members take their spouses up for orientation flights, and my mother who was pregnant with me flew in my father's navigator/weatherman position in the nose of a B-29 doing touch and go's at Carswell AFB, TX.

In realizing two of my high school goals, I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with an Aerospace Engineering degree and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force.

My first couple of flights as a student pilot were with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Flying Club in a C-150 similar to this one.

The greatest heights I have ever reached have been in the praises of my God, and my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Nothing can compare to Him.  In all of my flying, He has watched over me and protected me and shown me wondrous and beautiful things.

Sweetwater Church of the Valley, Glendale, AZ, was my home church until its demise in 2003, where the Word was powerfully preached, where His praises were continually sung, where Love abounded, and where all were welcome.  One of my favorite worship songs is "Soaring Like An Eagle On The Wings Of A Dove" by associate pastor Jim Bryson.  I then became a member of Believers Family Fellowship Church in 2004.

God continually weaves a beautiful tapestry with my life of flying as one of his fine threads.  Though we won't see the final work until the end, He has granted me glimpses from above of a work in progress.

After MBA graduate work at the University of Oklahoma, I went on active duty in the U.S. Air Force.
