Continuing the Photo Tour of my Life in
Flight.

 | My commercial flying began when I flew with American Eagle, Wings West Airlines - a
regional commuter airline. I began flying as a First Officer (co-pilot) on the
Fairchild SA-227 Metroliner III.

Based at Los Angeles (LAX), CA, we flew throughout California, and into Oregon and
Nevada under FAR Part 135. This 19 passenger "lawn dart" was fun to fly
and performed well, though it had no autopilot, air-conditioning, or other nice to have
items.
|
 | I next flew as a First Officer on the British Aerospace BAe-32 Super Jetstream.

Still based at LAX, this aircraft was probably the most unstable aircraft I have
flown other than a gyroplane. With no autopilot, it had a continuous dutch roll
tendency. It did however, have pilot windows that opened, air-conditioning and a
bathroom. It was a good aircraft to have flown in that many pilots could not do so.
|
 | Later, I became First Officer and then Captain with a type rating on the SAAB SF-340
aircraft.

The SF-340 is a 34 passenger aircraft with bathroom and galley, flying under FAR
Part 121, and included a flight attendant in the crew. As a First Officer I was
based at John Wayne Airport, Orange County, (SNA) CA and we flew throughout California as
well as into Arizona and Nevada. As a Captain on the SAAB, I was based in Dallas
(DFW) TX and we flew throughout TX, NM, OK, KS, MO, AR, AL, MS, FL, and TN, and I still
flew out of LAX occasionally on temporary duty.
The SAAB cockpit included five Multi Function Displays.

 | While flying commercially, I privately obtained many other FAA ratings (discussed under
Private flying), among them being a type rating in the B-737 similar to this one.

My B-737 type rating was obtained through Jet Tech in Phoenix, AZ utilizing America
West Airlines simulators and an America West B-737-200 flying into Yuma, AZ for the FAA
check ride at night.

|
 | Throughout my professional career, I have enhanced my skills and safety through my
private flying both in commercial endeavors and for personal pleasure.
